What to Expect
Sunday School at 9:00 am
This is an interactive verse-by-verse study of the Bible. It is a time for adults and children of various ages to spend time discussing the Bible, answering questions, and growing in applying the Word to daily life. The class time is usually about 45 minutes, allowing for a time of transition to the Worship service.
Sunday Service at 10:00 am
Our Worship service is about 90 minutes in length and is focused on singing, prayer, and the preaching of the Word. We aim for our worship to have a gospel shape, including various scripture readings and congregational response through singing and prayer. Our singing includes a variety of traditional and theologically rich modern hymns and is typically accompanied by the piano. The main part of the service is the sermon, which is usually about 45 minutes, and is typically working sequentially through a book of the Bible. On the first Sunday of each month, we close our service by celebrating the Lord’s Supper together.
Sunday Evening at 6:00 pm
Typically about an hour, this is an informal time of singing and study. We open with about 15 minutes of singing hymns (including selections by the congregation), then spend about 45 minutes in interactive study. The focus of the study time is typically on deepening our understanding of various theological topics by examining what the Scriptures teach.
Wednesday Prayer Meeting at 7:00 pm
We meet 3-4 times/month on Wednesdays for a time of prayer. We spend a few minutes on a brief study preparing our hearts for prayer, and take turns praying. We also take some time to share individual requests and lift them before the throne of grace.
Men’s & Ladies’ Fellowships
The men and ladies of the church each usually gather once a month for a time of study, prayer, and fellowship. These are times of building relationships and growing in the callings that the Lord has given to each of us in serving him.
Other Gatherings
The third Sunday of the month is “Cookie Sunday,” an extended fellowship time with cookies and other snacks immediately following the Sunday morning worship. In addition, throughout the year we will typically gather for other informal times (bonfire, picnic, or ice cream social) for interaction and growing in relationship with each other and those in our community.
